Handsfree Agrifood Ecosystem Connects with Smart Industry
On November 6, the Predictive Maintenance Day took place in Rijen, an afternoon full of practical examples, theory and new insights. The emphasis was on cross-over collaboration between NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood and the broader ecosystem, which made for a unique and dynamic program.
Stage for our Handsfree Agrifood partners
Two partners from the NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood ecosystem were given a stage. Sabine Havermans (Oxbo) actively involved the visitors by asking for advice on the first steps towards remote predictive maintenance, resulting in a valuable discussion and new contacts for further development. Arnoud Bolten (Polariks) inspired with a showcase on vertical farming at GrowUp Farms in the UK, showing how data-driven processes can optimize business operations, from water and energy management to quality control and logistics.
Cross-over meetings strengthen the ecosystem and accelerate innovation
Predictive maintenance is a crucial part of the ‘Industry 4.0’ revolution and offers solutions to current challenges, such as staff shortages. More efficient maintenance allows engineers to do more work in less time, which minimizes downtime and reduces costs. In addition, predictive maintenance makes it possible to monitor and maintain machines remotely worldwide.
The added value of the Handfree Agrifood ecosystem
The added value of our ecosystem became clear here. Thanks to the crossover between NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood and Smart Industry, we can explore how this technology can be applied in the Agrifood sector. This opens up new opportunities for partners who want to collaborate in the field of predictive maintenance.
