From VDL’s Phoenix Alkalina to ZEF’s solar-powered micro-electrolyser, and the advanced thin-film innovations by SparkNano, VSParticle, and Powall — Dutch consortia are developing the next generation of electrolysers. These efforts focus on increasing efficiency, reducing material costs, and refining production processes using precision technologies from the semiconductor and automotive sectors.
At the same time, a strong ecosystem is being built — one where education, research, and industry collaborate. The NXTGEN Hightech National Growth Fund programme plays a key role here.
