Digital Synergy Days May 2025

27 and 28 May 2025 | 1931 Conference Centre, ‘s-Hertogenbosch

The dynamism of collaboration and innovation came together

The Digital Synergy Days LVVN 2025 brought together more than 500 participants from agriculture, fisheries, food and nature in Den Bosch. This inspiring two-day event was dedicated to shaping the digital future of our food chain. With plenty of energy and knowledge sharing, it became clear that digitalisation is no longer optional but a necessity for a sustainable and future-oriented system.

The NXTGEN session connected insights and opportunities

The NXTGEN session focused on how we as a chain can take concrete steps in data sharing and digitalisation. Contributions from Monika Hoekstra, Liesbeth Leurs, Pieter Venema and Jeroen van Zwieten highlighted the essential role of collaboration and a shared vision for data. The discussions and questions revealed that valuable insights emerge when we work from trust and reciprocity. There was a growing realisation that digitalisation only works if it benefits every link in the chain, from entrepreneur to employee. It was also underlined that there are still many opportunities within food processing and distribution.

Decision-makers from different sectors at the same table

The day concluded with a dinner at JADS (Jheronimus Academy of Data Science). Here, decision-makers from different sectors continued their conversations about collaboration, innovation and future-focused policy. The informal setting allowed for deeper discussion and strengthened connections between participants.

The role of NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood

The Digital Synergy Days demonstrated how important collaboration and knowledge sharing are to accelerate innovation in the food chain. The NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood programme fits perfectly with this mission. By enabling initiatives like the NXTGEN session, NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood helps to improve, broaden and accelerate the ecosystem, ensuring that innovation not only emerges throughout the chain but also truly works.
