Mid-Term report NXTGEN Hightech published

The Mid-Term report of the NXTGEN Hightech programme has been published. This report outlines the programme’s progress over 2023 and 2024, including the stage-gate process completed in the spring of 2025. It provides insight into the results achieved so far within the various domains and illustrates how collaboration between industry partners, knowledge institutions, and government contributes to strengthening the Dutch hightech sector.

Self-assessment and independent evaluation

The development of the Mid-Term report (MTR) follows the reporting requirement to the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The MTR is structured as a self-assessment and complemented by an independent evaluation and recommendations from an external advisor. Together, these documents present a clear picture of the programme’s progress, achievements, and direction for the coming years.

Foundation for the years ahead

Managing Director Monika Hoekstra: “With NXTGEN Hightech, we are building not only technological innovations but also a strong ecosystem in which companies and knowledge institutions reinforce one another. The Mid-Term report shows how far we’ve come together and highlights the tremendous potential that lies ahead. These insights form an important foundation for the next phase of the programme, where further scaling up will be key.”

Both the Mid-Term Report and the external advisor’s evaluation are publicly available via Rijksoverheid.nl.
