International growth works best in markets where digitalisation becomes a requirement
Ireland is under increasing pressure to improve emissions performance, water quality and biodiversity, while its dairy and beef sectors remain strongly export-driven. As a result, digitalisation is increasingly becoming a prerequisite for policy implementation, supply chain governance and farm management. From emissions and nutrient management to traceability and reporting, data is gaining a structural role in decision-making.
Over three days, you will assess where collaboration, pilot projects or market entry are realistic in a context where digital requirements are no longer optional.
Programme Digitalisation as a driver of sustainable dairy chains in Ireland
This is a working mission combining content and targeted meetings aligned with current challenges in the Irish dairy and beef supply chains. You will see how digital tools are applied in practice and meet the organisations driving innovation at scale.
The programme consists of a combination of policy discussions, site visits and networking opportunities:
Meetings with government representatives and supply chain organisations on policy and implementation.
Visits to research and innovation centres.
Meetings with agrifood companies and cooperatives.
A networking session with Dutch and Irish participants to explore next steps.
Why you should not miss Digitalisation as a driver of sustainable dairy chains in Ireland
If you aim to scale internationally, you need to understand where demand is structurally driven by regulation, supply chain requirements and investment programmes. Ireland combines this urgency with an agricultural system that is comparable to the Netherlands in many respects, while operating its own digital platforms and data infrastructures.
Participation helps you assess whether your solution or expertise aligns with themes such as emissions reduction, nutrient management, animal health, grassland management, supply chain transparency and accountability towards market and policy stakeholders.
You will return with sharper positioning choices, clearer partner options and a logical first step towards collaboration.
Who should attend Digitalisation as a driver of sustainable dairy chains in Ireland?
This mission is relevant for agritech and data-driven solution providers, agricultural producers and supply chain actors aiming to improve sustainability, knowledge and research institutions, and policymakers or advisors working on digital frameworks for sustainable livestock farming.
If your role focuses on international development, innovation, data and compliance, supply chain transparency or sustainability programmes, you will recognise the questions currently accelerating in Ireland.
How NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood supports broadening and accelerating
The mission programme is central. NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood supports participants by connecting stakeholders and placing market developments and policy alongside technological choices, drawing on input from organisations that understand the Irish context and supply chain structure from within.
This allows you to test assumptions more quickly and determine more precisely whether a pilot, research line or partnership is a logical next step.
Costs for Digitalisation as a driver of sustainable dairy chains in Ireland
