Topics include satellite-based advice for irrigation planning, earlier detection of crop stress and disease, and geospatial monitoring of plots submitted for subsidy payments.
At the same time, accuracy, uncertainty, costs, field validation and scalability differ greatly by technology, application and farming system. That helps participants assess more clearly when a solution can be used responsibly, compared fairly or scaled in practice. The German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, the European Space Agency, ESRI and Barilla Group are among the organisations contributing perspectives..
