Recap day 2 Agritechnica

Accelerating together makes robotics and data tangible on the farm

10 November 2025 | Hanover

Day 2 shows acceleration in action through agreements, activity and deals

Day 2 was all about moving forward together. At the NL Pavilion, the manifesto was signed and handed over to DG Guido Landheer of LVVN, marking the official opening. During the afternoon session with France and Germany, participants agreed to open pilots faster and share knowledge to support scaling. Meanwhile, the fair was busy with focused conversations and new business already taking shape for 2026. The day ended with the LVVN networking reception, where key players met to define next steps.

Manifest drives acceleration in policy, funding and implementation

The manifesto Innovation for a Future-Proof Agriculture and Horticulture was signed at the NL Pavilion by LTO and a broad group of partners from technology and cultivation, and presented to the Ministry. The official opening gave visibility to the starting point, but now the focus is on execution. This makes the route to applying robotics and digital technology more concrete. The manifesto sets a clear bar. By 2030, at least one-third of farms will work with robotics and digital technology, and by 2050, autonomous systems will take over most repetitive physical tasks. This requires faster certification, suitable regulatory frameworks, clear insurance options and targeted education in vocational and higher education. Equally important is faster access to capital through extended fiscal schemes and an acceleration fund. For NXTGEN, the same priorities apply: supporting scaleups to expand production and internationalization, and reducing risks for farmers who want to adopt technology.

International cooperation speeds up scaling

In the session with France, Germany and the Netherlands, it became clear that all countries are aligned. We learn from each other’s ecosystems, open pilots and accelerate knowledge exchange wherever it directly supports scaling in production and application. The conclusion was unanimous and practical, focusing on market deployment. This creates a European foundation for developing, testing and delivering more reliably.

Busy fair leads to new business

The exhibition attracted a large and engaged audience, and conversations were concrete. The visibility of Dutch partners, enhanced by NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood, was clearly noticeable and is leading to follow-up actions. Already on day 2, agreements were made at one of the NXTGEN partner stands that will result in new business for 2026. This builds confidence to invest now in scaling and implementation.

LVVN networking reception connects plans and people

The closing reception hosted by the Ministry of LVVN brought together many players from the agritech field. It resulted in new connections between farmers, technology companies, financiers and policymakers. Conversations led to new agreements and the next steps toward implementation.

From NXTGEN Agrifood we accelerate the step to practice

Acceleration is at the core of the Handsfree Agrifood ecosystem. We bring developers, users and financiers together faster, create space to test and validate more quickly and help gain faster access to production capacity and on-farm implementation. This shortens the path from pilot to practice and keeps up the pace in a sector that wants to move forward.

This week on stage and at the pavilion

In addition to conversations at the stand, NXTGEN will be visible on stage throughout the week. Several moments bring context and connections together, useful if you want a quick sense of where collaboration and application are heading.

  •  Tuesday 16:30 – Pitches by Dutch agtech companies
A selection of Dutch agtech companies will give short pitches presenting solutions ranging from robotics to data-driven cultivation, including participants from the NXTGEN network. In just a few minutes, you’ll get an overview and direct contacts for follow-up.

  •  Networking drink – Get in touch with the Dutch
On Tuesday 11 November from 16:30 to 18:00 in Hall 25, stand 25A13. An informal opportunity to meet partners, exchange questions and explore opportunities for scaling up.

  •  Panel on reducing crop protection products
On Thursday 13 November at 14:00, NXTGEN partners will discuss innovations that reduce the use of crop protection products. In line with European targets to cut the use and risk of chemical agents by 50 percent by 2030, the conversation will focus on feasibility, technological solutions, economic impact and the future of European agriculture. With Will Kroot from VAA Data Works, Jurian Ham from Aurea Imaging, Maikel van Essen from Koppert and moderator Josephine van Eggelen from FME.

Visit the NL Pavilion in Hall 25, stand 25A13 before or after the sessions. We are happy to plan a short follow-up to explore what fits your company or project.
