Recap day 4 Agritechnica

Regional collaboration within one ecosystem strengthens the Dutch smart farming network

Digital Farm Day in Hanover showed how regional development agencies and NXTGEN together reinforce the Dutch smart farming story. At the Netherlands Smart Farming Pavilion they brought entrepreneurs, expertise and markets together. The regions contributed detail and access to test fields, while the national ecosystem added scale, benchmarks and new contacts. That two-way route results in better-supported next steps and strengthens the overall network. This recap shows who presented at the pavilion, how region and global networks reinforce each other and how the Handsfree Agrifood ecosystem continues to strengthen this line.

Regions make their added value visible on the exhibition floor

During Digital Farm Day at Agritechnica, regional development agencies were highly visible at the Netherlands Smart Farming Pavilion. Horizon Flevoland, Oost NL, LIOF, BOM, Ontwikkelingsbedrijf Noord Holland Noord and Impuls Zeeland presented the Dutch tech story together with NXTGEN and brought entrepreneurs, knowledge and markets together. It showed how regional depth strengthens the bigger picture and improves the substance of the network. InnovationQuarter is part of the NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood ecosystem as a partner and contributes indirectly to the NL pavilion.

From region to world and back the same line for better results

Starting in your region works because you quickly find a test field, a launching customer and a clear story. The region knows the context in detail and connects it to test locations and decision makers. By linking that precision to larger ecosystems such as NXTGEN Hightech Agrifood and international networks, scaling, benchmarks and capital come within reach. This leads to better-supported decisions and bigger steps. The exchange also works in reverse. Proven solutions and market insights return to the region through that network. This strengthens the quality of the network and improves the route from pilot to practice.

Improving value requires strong ecosystems

Within the Handsfree Agrifood ecosystem we bring together companies, knowledge institutes and test locations with the goal of learning faster what works and how to apply it at scale. In collaboration with the regional development agencies we increase access to partners, test fields and markets, making the route from idea to application more organised and more reliable. Digital Farm Day at Agritechnica showed how this approach can strengthen the network.
