A position paper on the Dutch satcom industry was presented yesterday at the Dutch Satcom Summit , organized by TNO and NXTGEN Hightech. It addresses the critical challenges faced by Europe and the Netherlands in securing space communications. The paper was made possible with efforts by our partners from the Laser Satcom project 'Innovation Centre'.

Important milestone

The position paper marks an important milestone in advancing the Dutch satcom ecosystem to a higher level. Program Manager Erik Fritz: "The innovation coming from our consortium partners drives the ambition for the future. This paper helps steer the laser satcom activities towards common goals, strengthening the effects of our collaboration.”

Trustworthy Dutch solutions

Leveraging our strong heritage in semiconductors, radar, ultraprecision optics manufacturing, and space instrumentation, along with recent investments in quantum technology and optical satellite communication, this paper present reliable and trustworthy Dutch solutions to these challenges.

Project leader Sabine Kerssens: "It’s encouraging to see an industry jointly take shape around key technologies identified by our government, it’s a significant step towards successful valorisation and scaleup growth in Europe."
