Systems Workforce Summit 2024 to be held at TU Delft

The TU Delft and NXTGEN Hightech will organize a unique global event on systems engineering on October 8 and 9, 2024. The Systems Workforce Summit is set to take place at the TU Delft and will address the future needs of the Systems Engineering workforce. Registration is open now, so make sure to reserve your spot.

The need for Systems Engineers

Today's interdependent systems are being formed by major transformations, for example, in the energy, health, aerospace,  transportation industries, and advancements in robotics, AI, and cyber-physical domains. Engineering talent is needed to integrate diverging requirements, develop robust designs, and ensure project success. Well-educated system managers and engineers with broad overarching multi-disciplinary competencies are essential for tackling today's complex systems' technical, economic and societal challenges. This type of talent is scarce and in high demand by enterprises worldwide. Cooperation between the diverse organizations participating in this Summit could significantly advance the needed 'Workforce of the Future'.

Discover, connect and engage

The two-day program is packed with interesting speakers and networking possibilities. Engage with thought leaders from top organizations like Airbus, ASML, MIT and NASA, and gain valuable insights into the evolving landscape of Systems Engineering competencies and skills. You’ll have the unique opportunity to visit and network with students and emerging talents and discover the next generation of professionals. Delve into worldwide trends, opportunities, and challenges in SE to stay ahead in this dynamic field. For the full program, please check here.

"This gathering will be the first of its kind worldwide”

Prof. Dipl. -ing. Heinz Stoewer is an Emeritus Professor of Space Systems Engineering at TU Delft and former President of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). Heinz contributed recently to the publication Systems Engineering Vision 2035 (INCOSE). He took the initiative to organize this Systems Workforce Summit. Heinz: “This Summit in Delft will bring together leaders and experts from industry, academia, government agencies, and professional organizations. Together, we will formulate a “Call for Action” which should stimulate measures to grow the needed systems workforce for today’s global challenges in the energy, health, aerospace, or transportation fields. This gathering will be the first of its kind worldwide”

Sponsorship Opportunities

The summit also offers exclusive sponsorship opportunities for organizations eager to engage with the next generation of systems engineering talent. These sponsorship packages will be available starting early July. Please reach out by e-mail for more information: systemsworkforcesummit@congressbydesign.com
