On April 2, 2024, NXTGEN Hightech, in collaboration with NWO, is organizing a matchmaking event in Utrecht for the open call "Future-proof high tech equipment". This call aims to develop a new generation of high tech equipment focused on sustainability, digitalization, health, and the technological sovereignty of the Netherlands.

The purpose of the matchmaking session is to bring together researchers from various disciplines and professionals from public and private entities.

Program

  • 12:30     Arrival and lunch

About the call

To stimulate the development of a new generation of high tech equipment, €10.6 million in research funding is available. The future-proof high tech equipment focuses on sustainability, digitalization, health, and the technological sovereignty of the Netherlands. The new knowledge falls within one of six application domains, such as energy conversion and storage. The research stems from five prioritized key technologies and is linked to one of two selected system technologies.

Matchmaking

The meeting aims to create new connections and promote interdisciplinary collaboration to come up with integrated research proposals. Within a varied program of interactive sessions, participants will discuss interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange their (research) interests with each other. Finally, time is provided to continue discussions with other interested parties, concluding with informal drinks .

Pitch & present

During the session, participants will have the opportunity to present their idea/proposal within 3 minutes, with room for discussion. This will take place in the form of a short pitch, where at least the research area, the plan, and the desires need to be briefly discussed. There is space for a maximum of 8 pitches.
